Assemblymember Daly and Assemblymember David Chiu are joint authors on legislation to help homeless individuals get off the streets permanently by promoting the production of supportive housing in California. Assembly Bill (AB) 2162 would accomplish that objective by making housing developments that are 100% affordable and include a significant percentage of supportive housing units eligible for expedited approval. This will create more housing options.

Each March, in recognition of Women’s History Month, women across California are honored by their state legislators for the inspiring and influential work they do in their communities. This year, Assemblymember Daly's district recognized three outstanding women from Assembly District 69 who stand out because of their service and leadership in giving back to their communities. Detective Corporal Maria Orozco Lopez works tirelessly with the Santa Ana police Department in the Special Crimes Department and as a volunteer basketball Coach at Century High School.
